Calling all foodies — the most flavorful event of the year is nearly here. It’s the South Beach Wine and Food Festival (or SOBEWFF for short), and it’s taking over Miami Beach February 19-23. That means five glorious days of celebrity chef sightings, unforgettable tasting events, flavor-forward parties and more. If you’re feeling overwhelmed with the sheer amount of event options to choose from, don’t worry — we’ve rounded up five sizzling experiences you should definitely consider when planning your culinary itinerary.
You’re definitely going to need a super-sized appetite for this one. One of SOBEWFF’s most popular events, Goya Foods’ Grand Tasting Village encompasses multiple tents and stages where you can sample amazing dishes from more than 50 restaurants while sipping top-rated wines, spirits, and cocktails. A slew of celebrity chefs and food industry personalities will also be onsite offering demonstrations, book signings and more. Some of this year’s confirmed names include Scott Conant, Valerie Bertinelli, Andrew Zimmern, Martina McBride, and more. This event takes place right on the beach, so wear comfy shoes and your stretchiest pants.

If you’re more about champagne campaigns than tasting tours, don’t miss POMMERY’s Bubbles & Bites Happy Hour. Hosted at The Betsy Hotel’s rooftop pool deck, this swanky soiree will feature exclusive POMMERAY champagnes including Blanc de Blancs, Royal Blue Sky, and Cuvee Louise — all accompanied by delicious bites curated to pair perfectly with your flute of fizz. Get your weekly dose of zen while enjoying good-for-you snacks and sips of Campo Viejo Cava Bellinis and Campo Viejo Rose at Buddhas and Bellinis. You’ll start off with a yoga class taught by legendary teacher Dawn B, accompanied by live music. Then sip and snack to your heart’s content in preparation for the rest of the day’s SOBEWFF festivities.

Cocktail lovers rejoice; here’s a SOBEWFF event that’s all about good spirits. Level up your happy hour at this intimate event hosted by cookbook author and celebrity chef Marc Murphy. You’ll get to sample some of the most coveted small-batch artisanal spirits on the market poolside at the sophisticated Mondrian South Beach. Chat one-on-one with mixologists and brand ambassadors about what you’re sipping while you snack on wonderful light bites.
When, where and how much: Thursday, February 20 from 6-8 p.m. at the Mondrian South Beach Hotel, 1100 West Avenue, Miami Beach. Tickets are $95.
There are few things better than a good old-fashioned beach BBQ, and the one Guy Fieri hosts every year at SOBEWFF is the best one we’ve seen so far. At his signature festival party on South Beach, the Emmy Award-winning chef will showcase food by some of the country’s best grill- and pitmasters, plus a rocking live performance by American Idol season 17 winner Laine Hardy.
