Calling all foodies: one of Miami’s favorite restaurants is expanding its Aventura Mall options! Since its opening, Motek Café solidified its Outdoor Courtyard space as a favored spot for Israeli-Mediterranean cuisine. Now, the beloved restaurant is debuting Yalla Motek, its latest concept, in Treats Food Hall. Award-winning burgers, tasty falafels and hummus galore; before we get too hungry, let’s break down why the opening is so exciting.
A kosher-style dining destination, Motek was bestowed Editors’ Choice for Best Restaurant in Aventura and Readers’ Choice for Best Breakfast in Miami New Times’ Best of Miami 2022 awards, Motek’s Lebanese burger was awarded the People’s Choice at the 2022 South Beach Wine & Food Festival’s Burger Bash.
With such dazzling accolades, it’s no wonder that founder Tessa Levy planned to expand the successful restaurant into a new frontier: fast-casual. Journeying to the eastern cove of the Mediterranean Sea, Yalla Motek will continue to serve an amalgamation of flavors from Israel, Morocco, Lebanon, Yemen, and beyond.
Yalla is the Arabic word for “let’s go,” making it a fitting title for an on-the-go street food destination. The express option gives busy Aventura Mall shoppers an opportunity to get the cultural fix and type of cuisine they’d find at Motek Café.
If your mouth isn’t watering already, prepare yourself for the restaurant’s delectable offerings: authentic shawarma, fresh pita sandwiches, falafels and healthy bowls. Keeping with Motek’s tradition of healthy whole foods, Yalla Motek will offer vegan-friendly dishes that are sourced with high-quality ingredients. Bonus: the ingredients aren’t just healthy and glatt kosher, but they are also prepared from scratch in an open kitchen format on view for visitors.
Prepare your gastronomical passport for Yalla Motek, which is now open in Treats Food Hall.
