Discover Women Makers and Artisans at The Aventura Farmers Market

Women’s History Month isn’t just a time to look at the past, but a moment to embrace the present-day women contributing to their community. Every woman deserves recognition in her field, including the small business owners who work hard and turn dreams into reality. Each weekend, we have the privilege of hosting 45+ vendors at The Aventura Farmers Market, many of whom are women. Our farmer and artisan market is teeming with talent and culture. Exotic cuisine, handcrafted goods, and artisanal creations fill the halls from Center Court to Zara, with small businesses serving their community through art and skill.

In honor of Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating the incredible women making waves in their work at The Aventura Farmers Market.

The American Hats

Miami has long been the quintessential beach vacation spot. With a tropical climate and stunning views of the Atlantic, South Floridians get to bask in an eternal summer all year long. Lucky for us, we have countless opportunities to don our favorite sandals and sundress for a day outdoors.

In the rules of fashion and skincare, hats are a must-have for soaking in the Florida sun. The American Hats is a woman-owned purveyor of stylish hats that vary in style and creativity. The shop features panama hats, caps, visors, cowboy hats, and sun hats that are one-of-a-kind. The American Hats’ handcrafted creations feature artwork and embellishments that make each piece a distinctive statement. From a sunflower emblazoned panama hat to an abstract-style fedora, these styles are a chic way to seal your leisurely weekend wardrobe.

El Coco Loco Frio

Some of the freshest produce around can be found in the Center Court of Aventura Mall. Each weekend, El Coco Loco Frio, a family-owned business, brings baskets full of fruits and vegetables that are ripe for the picking. In addition to a rainbow of produce, El Coco Loco Frio is known for its tasty, fresh coconut water. If you’re looking for another sweet treat, pick up a frozen Cocolada smoothie before you head to the next booth.

Gerbaud Bakery

Prepare your palate, because Gerbaud Bakery is a sweet delight to behold. Scrumptious pastries, rum cakes, vegan cookies, and poppy seed rolls are on display, waiting for you to make the first move. Waft the chocolate and fruity scents of the delicious treats and stock up on sweets for your whole family.

Come for the desserts; stay for the juice. The bakery offers freshly-squeezed, natural juices to quench your thirst. Whether you use your Gerbaud Bakery creation as fuel for a vigorous shopping day ahead or enjoy some for the road, we know you’ll be enamored with the doughy goodness.

Kana’s by Juliana Duque

We love stacks on stacks on stacks — of arm candy. Kana’s by Juliana Duque offers vibrant beaded bracelets that will add a boho flair and color to your look. Founded by a Colombian mother and her daughter, the brand incorporates heritage and tradition into its jewelry through the art of weaving.

Each stylish piece is crafted by the company’s mother-daughter-duo. The intricate accessories are meant to express “a moment, a feeling, a place, an emotion which gives to each piece a great value,” Duque explains on Kana’s website.

Two to Cake

It takes two to tango — or in this case, cake! Two to Cake is a thoughtful purchase, whether you’re looking for the perfect gift, a unique celebratory dessert, or a sweet bite for yourself. Custom macaron-adorned cakes in letters, numbers, and other unique shapes are a lovely surprise for a special occasion that’s both saccharine and sentimental. The luxury cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and macarons will satisfy your sweet tooth at first bite.
