Jrk! began with a vision: to bring authentic Jamaican flavors to the fast-casual restaurant space without compromising its roots. Founders Kavan Burke, Wayne Sharpe, and Harrison Soffer fused their diverse backgrounds in culture, cuisine, business, and creativity to build something bigger than just a restaurant–it’s a whole experience.
“We started Jrk! because we wanted to reimagine what Jamaican food could look like in a fast-paced world, while staying true to its roots. Once we had that vision, we went all in,” said the team of entrepreneurs. “Receiving the StarChefs Rising Stars Concept Award is surreal. It validates all the hard work, late nights, and risks we took to build something unapologetically flavorful and different. We’re incredibly honored!”
