Eataly Arrives at Aventura Mall
June 13, 2025
The scent of fresh-baked focaccia. The unique experience of tasting house-made mozzarella. The unmistakable joy of seeing pasta cut, shaped, and folded before your eyes. These aren’t scenes from a trattoria tucked into a Tuscan hillside — they’re unfolding at Aventura Mall.
Eataly, the globally adored Italian marketplace and culinary experience, has officially opened its first Florida location, and it’s everything we hoped for (and more). The vibrant space is a love letter to Italian food, craftsmanship, and culture, all delivered with a distinct South Florida flair.
Eat, Shop, Learn… and Linger
Entering Eataly Aventura is like pressing pause on reality and hitting play on a Roman holiday. You’re not just shopping for groceries or heading to the local restaurant, you’re wandering through Italy’s culinary soul.

Begin with a proper espresso at the Lavazza caffè, then stroll over to the counters offering silky gelato, pastries, and Roman-style pizza alla pala. Two restaurants anchor the experience: La Pizza & La Pasta, where Neapolitan pizzas and regional pastas reign, and Il Pastaio, a more intimate space where pasta is hand-crafted daily in view of diners.

But Eataly isn’t just about eating—it’s about engaging. The brand’s signature “eat, shop, learn” philosophy is alive and well here. Watch expert pasta makers—or pastai—roll fresh pasta or browse shelves filled with imported ingredients you’ve only seen in cookbooks. There’s even a cooking school where guests can learn the secrets behind Italian classics.
Bring Italy Home
Beyond the restaurants and counters, Eataly’s marketplace invites guests to bring the flavors of Italy into their own kitchens. The carefully curated space offers everything from bronze-dye extruded pasta, extra virgin olive oils, and house-made sauces to premium pantry staples like San Marzano tomatoes, imported sweets, and artisan cheeses and salumi… even caviar.
But the market goes far beyond shelf goods. Guests will also find fresh produce, prime meats, seafood, and a daily selection of house-made pasta crafted onsite, ready to take home and transform into an authentic Italian meal. For quick, effortless dining, the made-in-Eataly line offers freshly prepared grab-and-go options perfect for lunch or dinner.
And no Italian table is complete without wine. Eataly’s wine shop features a robust selection (700+ labels) from all 20 regions of Italy, including rare vintages housed in a temperature-controlled Riserva room for true connoisseurs. Whether you’re planning a special meal or simply stocking your pantry, the marketplace turns everyday shopping into an inspired culinary experience.
From Italy to Miami
Eataly Aventura isn’t just a feast for the tastebuds—it’s one for the eyes, too. Every element of the space has been thoughtfully curated to create a setting that feels authentically Italian with a touch of Miami. From custom finishes and furniture to lighting and equipment, much of what you’ll see was sourced directly from Italy. Even the landscaping nods to South Florida’s vibrant flora, creating a seamless blend of Mediterranean roots and tropical spirit.
Adding to the striking design is the series of murals created by Florida-native artist Jason Woodside. Known for his bold use of color, energetic patterns, and optimistic tone, Woodside has brought his signature geometric style to the walls of Eataly Aventura… just infused with subtle Italian touches like coffee beans and olive oil drops. His artwork, which can be seen from Paris to Tokyo to Wynwood, was custom designed for the store and brings a bright, contemporary pulse to the space.
Though the doors just opened, Eataly has already begun weaving itself into the cultural fabric of Miami. The brand previously popped up at Art Basel late last year and the F1
Grand Prix this May, with plans to continue to immerse in the lcoal culinary community. Like its design, Eataly’s presence is meant to feel rooted, yet fresh—an ongoing conversation between Italy and Miami that’s just getting started.
What to Try First (Hint: Everything)
Where to start? Try the house-made mozzarella. The handmade pastas. The pistachio gelato. The focaccia sandwiches. The Roman-style pizza. The olive oils so beautiful you’ll hesitate to open them. And don’t forget the wine—Eataly’s collection includes vintages from all 20 Italian regions.
You’ll want to dedicate several hours to visiting Eataly Aventura, the first in Florida and the first to bring you right to Italy’s door. It’s a space where you’ll gather, savor, and experience the joy of Italian culture with so many stops to make along the way: the restaurants, the market, the counters, the cooking school, and so much more.
