The process of combining style and magic onto a delicate silken fairyland landscape was a labor of love for the Camilla team. Its in-house artisans delved into the Disney illustration archives to select iconic comic elements and classic Disney iconography. These elements were then combined with hand-sketched playful motifs, and then sparkled across luxurious silks and satins shaped into effortless, free-flowing silhouettes. At the core of the collaboration is Walt Disney’s life motto to simply, and daringly, believe in magic and the instantly recognizable Camilla aesthetic. The brand’s every piece is hand cut, every crystal is applied with precision and every print is inspired by its owner Camilla Franks’ global wanderings. Each piece is designed with a meticulous print placement, ensuring a bespoke printed artwork that falls beautifully across each body. The collaboration is a fanciful fit.
Fans of both Disney and Camilla can expect to see the fruit of its labor embellished on kaftans, dreamy dresses, luxurious layers, and epic bomber jackets available in women, men and kids wear. Naturally Mickey and Minnie Mouse get a starring role in the collection. The limited-edition prints featured are an homage to their journey as pop-culture’s iconic figures from the original and charming sketches that jumpstarted the magical empire to the modern personification that has taken ques from contemporary culture. The fans of the lovable duo will rejoice in the fact that the signature mouse ears are also a part of the offering.
