Aventura Mall is a proud advocate for Voices For Children Foundation Inc., supporting the Miami-Dade County nonprofit’s mission to transform the lives of children in foster care by providing them with a Guardian ad Litem who will be their voice in court. Together, Voices For Children and the Guardian ad Litem program develop initiatives to ensure these children’s needs are met and help break the cycle of abuse, abandonment and neglect that is so prevalent in low-income and poverty-stricken communities.
Aventura Mall has launched several initiatives to support Voices For Children. During the holidays, the shopping center created a Gift Wrap Station where shoppers could dress up their gifts with a curated selection of wrapping paper, accessories and cards. All proceeds from the Station benefited Voices For Children.
According to Voices For Children, “our staff brings caring and innovative strategies to work with at-risk youth. We partner with organizations and community members to amplify our impact. Our organization is built on the values of compassion and community, values that make a pivotal difference in a child’s life.”
