Aventura Mall’s partnership with The Humane Society of Greater Miami has provided visitors with several opportunities to meet new four-legged friends until they found the perfect, wet-nosed addition to their family. The partnership has facilitated dozens of adoptions and raised tens of thousands of dollars in donations. Whether you’re looking for a new furry family member or just want to show your support for a great cause, the Aventura Mall pet adoptions take place every week. Every Wednesday through Sunday from 2 to 5pm the Humane Society will be here with some of the cats and dogs in need of a home. Meet them for yourself at the adoption area located on the Upper Level between Nike and Tesla.
The Humane Society of Greater Miami is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable animal welfare organization supported solely by its programs and services, donations, grants and fundraising activities. Today, more than 400 homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are cared for daily at the Soffer and Fine Adoption Center in North Miami Beach, where they’re given a second chance via tender loving care, good meals, shelter and medical care for as long as it takes to find them homes with kind, responsible and committed caregivers.
Each animal cared for at the shelter is free from the threat of euthanasia while waiting for their “fur-ever” family. Every year, more than 3,300 animals find their human companions and begin new lives in the comfort of loving homes across Miami and South Florida.
