There’s a reason why Miami’s top stylists flock to GANNI. Based in Copenhagen, the Danish brand has carved out its own distinguished corner of the fashion industry. GANNI, led by husband-and-wife duo Nikolaj and Ditte Reffstrup, is a label that prides itself on making women feel like they can take on the world. Dare we say the GANNI girl is unstoppable?

We sat down with one of our favorite GANNI girls, Miami stylist Manuela Gutierrez. Garnering a reputation for her impeccable eye and creativity, Manuela has styled models and celebrities for luxury glossies like Ocean Drive. As a long-time fan of GANNI, Manuela curated her favorite looks for fall in Miami – and you can shop them all at Aventura Mall.

Cultivating Color

GANNI’s Aventura Mall location is a playground of color. From bubblegum pinks to cherry reds, there is no shortage of bold hues to bring vibrancy to your outfit. One of the biggest fall trends on Manuela’s radar is color pops. “Color can really round out a look,” she says.

To enhance her Canadian tuxedo — an all-denim look that Manuela feels is classic and chic — she opted for a vibrant pair of embroidered western boots and a matching saddle bag in ‘Barbados cherry’ red. “

“We have to learn to work with color, mix them and make them mature in the right way,” says Manuela. When beginning to play with palettes, Manuela recommends keeping things simple with a single color as to not disrupt the cohesion of the look.

Trendy and Tailored

Tailored suits are another fall trend that has dominated designer runways. One of Manuela’s favorite outfits available at GANNI is a fitted striped belted blazer and matching mini skirt.

“I love the way this blazer is tailored and fits to you. . .the way it clutches your body and closes to the side. It fits very beautifully,” she says. Manuela loves this matching set as a day-to-night option for working women. The transitional piece can fit the professional tone of the office but easily migrate into a chic outfit for post-work happy hour or dinner.

Manuela opted for versatile knee-high Chelsea boots — “no one does them better than GANNI,” she adds. To elevate the striped suit, she added pink pastel accessories (and you know we love a Barbiecore moment).

Work Meets Play

Tailoring is a staple of the season, so it’s no surprise that Manuela found another amazing suit when perusing the GANNI boutique. Unlike traditional buttoned-up, C-suite style and boxy blazers, GANNI’s cotton short-sleeved blazer and slacks are a match made for Miami. Manuela finds that a short-sleeve blazer remains “dressy” while keeping you comfortable in the heat.

The breathable cotton fabric and light oak color of Manuela’s look puts a leisurely spin on the formal women’s suit. The elbow-length sleeves bring a casual and unconventional quality to the suit that can be easily dressed up or down. While she finds the suit to be elegant on its own, Manuela wanted to make her outfit a “day-to-day” pick by dressing it down with a fun GANNI Smiley t-shirt and her favorite Chelsea boots.

While Miami dwellers love fall as much as anyone, it’s safe to say that sweater weather can be sparse. We may not have the chilliest climate, but we still want to capture all of the season’s trends – especially layering.

Layering adds depth to an outfit and allows you to reimagine your staple pieces in new ways. When layering for fall, Manuela cautions to not “overdo it.” A simple statement like a lightweight puff vest over a plain t-shirt can elevate a look without going overboard. “Sometimes when you layer too much, it doesn’t make sense,” she explains. Less is more.
