“No rules. All welcome.” That’s the spirit behind the newest Tiffany & Co. Lock collection, debuted four all-gender bracelets.
Tiffany Lock arrives as an audacious symbol of togetherness and inclusivity. The brand’s first gender-neutral jewelry collection embodies the personal bonds that bring us together and make us who we are.
The collection draws from the archives to re-envision the symbolic idea of the padlock. Distinctive and modern, the sleek bangles feature an innovative swiveling mechanism that echoes the functionality of a padlock and took over one year to develop.
“Tiffany Lock is an elegant interpretation of an archival functional design,” said Alexandre Arnault, Executive Vice President, Product and Communication, Tiffany & Co. “Defined by modern, clean lines and a breakthrough clasp mechanism, Tiffany Lock represents an exciting new pillar to our diamond and gold jewelry offering. We are thrilled to unveil our latest icon.”
Founded in 1837, Tiffany & Co. produced functional padlocks until the 1950s, when it adopted an aesthetic purpose as everything from key rings to necklaces featured design elements evoking padlocks. The padlock motif’s evolution over the last 20 years is especially seen in collections like Return to Tiffany® and Tiffany HardWear.
