Moms are pure magic. We’re fortunate to know so many wonderful women who are raising, teaching and nurturing the next generation while also making time to take care of themselves, conquer their personal goals … and look great doing it.
In honor of Mother’s Day, we asked a few of our favorite South Florida influencer moms what they enjoy most about motherhood, what has surprised them, how they relax and recharge … and what’s on their Mother’s Day wish lists!
Motherhood has been a “discovery” and “the most wonderful gift” for fashion, travel and lifestyle influencer Daniella Duque- Angel, a proud mom (and mom-to-be!). On weekends, Daniella loves going to brunch with her family and passing on her love of fashion by dressing her baby boy in beautiful outfits that match his dad’s. A true believer in balance, Daniella recognizes motherhood is “really beautiful, but hard work” and treats herself to short getaways and spa days.
Fashion and travel blogger Oxana Niki loves spending quality time with her daughter and “seeing her grow every day.” Though she admits – with a smile – that motherhood is tougher than she imagined, she says “as everyone told me, it’s all worth it.” Oxana and her daughter love dressing up in cute matching outfits to go shopping or to the movies. When she needs some “me time,” Oxana recharges with spa days and mini vacations with friends.
“I love everything about being a mom,” says digital creator Mariana Umaña, proud mom to a toddler and newborn. “I love seeing my daughters grow up in a happy environment and everything they teach me.” She’s been most surprised at how capable moms are at doing so many things at once, adding, “Just when you think you don’t have any patience left, you find some more inside you. It’s crazy and beautiful!” Her self-care secrets include one “free” hour per day and taking herself on solo dates twice a month for massages or nail appointments.
Influenced by her own mother’s “unconditional love,” influencer Stephanie Robertson has learned to “embrace the wild and appreciate the messiness of motherhood.” Her children make the ordinary moments and holidays incredibly special: “everything is magical through a child’s eyes.” Stephanie and her kids wear coordinating outfits as much as possible and enjoy family dates on weekends. Her passion for fashion is carrying on: “My daughter loves fashion as much as I do, so we shop together!”
