Fendi’s Dynamic Menswear Accessories for the Season

Encapsulating spring pastels and Roman scenery, Fendi’s latest accessories bring a lightness to the season. The Spring/Summer 2022 collection carries the essence of a Roman holiday.

“How you see things – and from where you see them – has never been more important,” says Silvia Venturini Fendi, Artistic Director of FENDI Accessories and Menswear. She drew inspiration from the sweeping views seen from the Fendi headquarters in Palazzo della Civiltà

Italiana. Just outside the fashion house’s walls, the landscape sprawls out in a 360° vista towards the seven hills of Rome, the Apennine mountains and glimpses of the Mediterranean Sea.

“Our singular point of view in this period has modified our perception of the world – and mine has become so linked to what I see from the arches and the rooftop of our building,” says Venturini Fendi. “The colors and the perspective are always changing – the soft palette of the Roman sky across the day is so beautiful, and I wanted it to be a focal point of this collection.”

It’s clear that Venturini Fendi has written — or woven — a love letter to Rome. Architecture and nature are fused together in every fiber. The European vistas shine through a sunrise of pastels as Roman architecture finds home in sharper pieces. The palette echoes springtime skies in pastel shots of lemon, ice blue, lavender, pistachio, and peony against mineral shades of chalk, graphite and slate.

Baguettes, bucket hats and backpacks — there is no stone unturned in the accessory line. Fendi’s famous Peekaboo bag returns in matte nylon while the classic Baguette transitions to a roomy messenger bag. Fashionable backpacks and crossbody bags feature Fendi’s new Fendiness utility buckle, designed with the brand’s double F motif.

Fendi’s Spring/Summer collection is a panorama of Rome made with the lasting quality of the age-old city.
