Aventura Mall is launching Together We Can, an ongoing series of events to assist children and families whose lives have been shattered by recent natural disasters.

Starting Friday, the mall is hosting a drive to collect desperately needed items for disadvantaged children birth to five years old affected by Hurricane Irma. The drive benefits local families serviced by the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade and Monroe (ELC) and is supported by the Miami-Dade Family Learning Partnership.

Low-income families across Monroe and Miami-Dade Counties are struggling to get back on their feet following Hurricane Irma. Many are in desperate need of basic children supplies such as food, relief and comfort to help our young children return to normalcy.

Join Aventura Mall in providing these families with resources such as new clothing, baby supplies, portable cribs, infant formula, diapers, wipes and books. Items can be dropped off at the Concierge Center, Visitor Center and Rainbow Valley Playground during mall hours --10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Aventura Mall is committed to supporting disaster relief efforts through ongoing programming and community assistance in partnership with civic, business and community entities. Stay tuned for upcoming Together We Can relief efforts.
