Seeking inspiration for CAMILLA’s newest collection, founder and creative director, Camilla Franks, turned to her favorite films to bring her vision to life.

When asked about the inspired collection, The Starlet, Franks said, “movies can transport you to anywhere in the world and to any period of time.” The designer and her team reviewed Franks’ favorite films and examined the stories, costumes, locations, musical scores and cast to create an unforgettable lineup. “It was divine to take the time to sit and immerse myself in these diverse films and then create our prints and designs from them,” she added.

Various films shine through the season’s program: sweet seduction amongst fiercely feminine blooms; a poetic take on rock and roll that’s equal parts pretty and rebellious; the decadence of a party palace, rich with Art Deco motifs; the rum-soaked diaries of a wicked pirate princess; a colorful and eccentric kingdom where majestic beings roam free; debauchery-influenced florals reminiscent of after-hours Paris; and psychedelic anarchy set to a revolutionary ‘60s soundtrack.

The highly anticipated collection is highlighted by a selection of languid long dresses, flowy blouses, and playful skirts. Among its signature pieces are party-focused occasion dresses, crystalized kimonos, luxurious kaftans, embroidered bombers, and the best-selling resort styles to complement the brand’s swimwear offerings.

Those who shy away from head-to-toe print are in luck. The collection also features heavy crepe dresses, pants, and leather staples with simpler, feminine detailing, such as peacoat edging, heart lockets, ruffles, and crinkle silks. Must-haves include the Almost Famous Full Shearling Coat and the Leather High Waisted Tuck Pants and Shorts with signature CAMILLA hardware and chunky statement belts.

Shoppers who like to venture away from Florida to enjoy colder, winter destinations will be pleasantly surprised by the collection’s seasonal, layer-worthy offerings. Meant to be layered with CAMILLA’s lighter, flowing signature silk staples, oversized cardigan wrap throws with raglan sleeves, crystalized layered pieces with shoulder pads, and one-shouldered jumpers made their red carpet debut this season.

“Our pieces play a rich and layered role to our CAMILLA woman and the beautiful romanticism of life. Each piece tells a story and leaves you wanting more,” said Franks.

In addition to the anticipated collection debut, CAMILLA announced the launch of its long-awaited passion project: extended sizing. In a statement, CEO Jane McNally said, “we’ve picked several different prints that you’ll see coming through in this collection and we have plans to broaden that further in the next collection! You’ll find re-worked kaftan silhouettes, beautiful dresses, blouses and trouser options that are specifically designed to fit and celebrate the feminine form. We’ve made them specifically for bigger busts and varied body shapes, which is the core of our brand; inclusivity!”
