Savor the Flavors of UDON

UDON Aventura Mall

Spain’s leading chain of Asian restaurants, UDON, has made its way to Aventura Mall. The chain’s second restaurant in South Florida recently opened in Treats Food Hall, bringing with it its signature blend of authentic flavors, innovation, and focus on health and sustainability.

UDON’s Aventura Mall location showcases its signature minimalist décor with an artistic touch from local South Florida artist Disem, whose bold, modern style reflects Miami’s vibrant energy. The result? A striking mural that seamlessly blends Japanese tradition with Miami’s urban culture, adding a rebellious splash of color to UDON’s sleek aesthetic. Disem’s vivid artwork can also be found in Wynwood, Downtown Miami, and Calle Ocho, paying homage to his love for both traditional and street art.

Dedicated to offering a balance of quality and convenience, UDON’s menu aligns with South Florida’s dynamic lifestyle, featuring fresh, sustainable ingredients across its Asian tapas and plant-based options. This new location brings an elevated yet accessible dining experience to both locals and tourists seeking quick service without compromising quality.

Made to order from sustainability-sourced ingredients, UDON’s dishes are presented with impeccable attention to detail and intended to reinvent Asian classics. The Corral Chicken Yakisoba combines crispy cornflake-breaded chicken, shiitake mushrooms, and vegetables in a savory yakisoba sauce, while the Curry Ramen delivers comforting flavors with marinated pork belly, miso, curry, and a soft-boiled egg. Further innovation is seen in the Noodle Rolls—a creative take on sushi that swaps rice for noodles, offering a fresh texture and presentation while maintaining familiar flavors. UDON isn’t just preserving tradition; it’s elevating it.

With the South Beach Wine and Food Festival approaching, UDON is celebrating by offering a limited-edition dish inspired by the festival’s vibrant energy, available exclusively at the new Aventura Mall location.

Beyond great food, UDON is deeply committed to sustainability. The brand partners with US Foods to source organic and responsibly harvested ingredients whenever possible, eliminates single-use plastics, utilizes compostable packaging, and reduces food waste through efficient preparation techniques.

UDON at Aventura Mall is more than a meal—it’s an experience where innovation, quality, and sustainability come together in every bite.

Rapid Fire: UDON Edition

We recently caught up with UDON CEO and Co-founder Jordi Vidal to learn more about UDON, its growth, and mission… and we asked Jordi some rapid-fire questions while we had him. Keep reading to find out what dish he thinks represents Aventura Mall, what celebrity he would invite to dine at UDON, and more.

If UDON created a dish inspired by Aventura Mall, what ingredients would it feature?
It would definitely incorporate fresh seafood, citrus notes, and a tropical touch to capture Miami’s coastal essence. I envision a Lemongrass Shrimp Ramen with coconut milk and a hint of lime—a perfect balance of freshness and depth of flavor.

What’s your favorite dish on the menu, and how do you customize it?
The Curry Ramen is my favorite. The curry-miso combination is spectacular, but I like to spice it up with extra chili flakes.

If you could invite any celebrity to dine at UDON, who would it be, and what would you serve them?
Without a doubt, Anthony Bourdain. His passion for food exploration was unmatched. I’d serve him our Noodle Rolls to showcase how UDON transforms tradition into something unexpected.

UDON focuses on health and flavor, but is there a guilty pleasure everyone should try?
Absolutely! The Noodle Rolls are the ultimate guilty pleasure—soft, delicate rolls made with noodles instead of rice, wrapped around tender, flavorful fillings that make them irresistible.

If UDON were represented in another artistic medium, what would it be?
Definitely fashion. Our clean and contemporary aesthetic would translate beautifully into bold, minimalist streetwear, reflecting our modern take on traditional Asian cuisine.

What makes UDON a luxurious dining experience?
UDON blends high-quality ingredients, meticulous execution, and sophisticated design. It’s not just a place to eat—it’s a place where every detail, from plating to ambiance, feels intentional and special.

UDON is located in Treats Food Hall, on the Third Level.
