Miami is a beautiful melting pot – and that is reflected in its mouthwatering food. Every population brings its own culinary gifts to the table, so it should be no surprise that a variety of local and international flavors are available to those visiting or residing in the Magic City!
On Thursday, August 1, tourists and locals will be able to enjoy the deliciously diverse array of cuisines as esteemed restaurants and award-winning chefs join Miami Spice. Modeled after New York City’s restaurant week, Miami Spice is a two-month long promotion at select restaurants offering three-course meals priced at $23 for lunch/brunch and $39 for dinner.
Two hundred and fifty of the biggest restaurateurs have confirmed their participation in this yearly-awaited Miami food scene showcase. We invite you to dress up, taste our Magic City’s culture, and take advantage of everything that Miami Spice has to offer!
Below are five of our favorite restaurants participating in this year’s Miami Spice. Did we mention that they’re also all conveniently located right here at Aventura Mall?
Created by award-winning Chef Michael Mina and cookbook author Ayesha Curry, International Smoke is cult-followed for its smoke-y, globally-inspired and flavorful signature BBQ dishes. Enjoy a variety of iconic appetizers, entrees and desserts on the Miami Spice Month menu, including the truffle Caesar salad, cedar-smoked salmon, Jamaican jerk chicken cutlets and housemade warm cookies. And just like its dishes, International Smoke’s interior and exterior offer plenty of #Instaworthy-ness. The 200-seat restaurant is outfitted with brass and wood furniture, along with a maroon and red color palette inspired by the cooking times of meat, ranging from rare to well done. The outside terrace is decorated in neutral and bright pink accents, including a neon sign reading, “Drink a Little, Smoke a Little.”
