Famed chef Michael Mina and celebrity cookbook author Ayesha Curry’s signature global barbecue concept is making its East Coast debut. The Aventura location marks the brand’s third outpost as part of a wildly popular collaboration between the two tastemakers, which began as a pop-up in San Francisco.
The 200-seat indoor and outdoor eatery will feature industrial, cozy-chic design, private dining room and photo-worthy neon signs like “Drink a Little, Smoke a Little” and “ Smoking Section.” A custom graffiti mural by Edward Granger will be designed specifically for the new location to bring Miami’s vibrant art scene to life. International Smoke explores global approaches to fire, grilling and smoke to create flavorful dishes that stemmed from both Mina’s and Curry’s world travels and individual experiences with a variety of cuisines. Guests will enjoy expertly-prepared dishes including the signature St. Louis Style Pork Ribs, Wagyu Shaking Beef and Smoked Burrata. The restaurant will also feature a lively cocktail bar with libations that include smoky drinks, homemade pickle-back shots and Insta-worthy boozy punch bowls.
International Smoke at Aventura Mall will be located outside the new wing adjacent to Aventura Slide Tower. The restaurant will serve lunch, dinner and happy hour. It will be open 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
