John Hardy Made for Legends Campaign Featuring Penélope Cruz

When Oscar-winning actress Penélope Cruz isn’t donning ornate jewelry on the red carpet, she adheres to a “less is more” approach. Her everyday jewels appear simpler, yet they carry precious personal significance: pearl earrings she saved from her childhood, a garnet ring gifted to her by her late grandmother and her wedding band.

Sentiment, quality and sustainability are values Cruz holds near and dear to her heart, so when she was offered the opportunity to collaborate with Bali-based brand John Hardy for their “Made for Legends” campaign, she jumped at the chance.

“I love what they do: this mixture of rock and roll and elegance,” Cruz  told Vogue of John Hardy’s collection, which features hand-crafted bracelets created with sustainably sourced stones and recycled materials. “Every time you look at one of these pieces, it feels like you know the history behind them. They are creating beautiful things while respecting their community.”
