Give a Child the Joy of Christmas Morning

One of the best parts of the holiday season is spending time with and treating loved ones to gifts, whether they’re wrapped and tied with a bow or meant to be experienced together. In a perfect world, everyone would have the opportunity to experience the magic of holiday giving. However, this isn’t the case for many South Florida families who are struggling to make ends meet. They’re in need of some assistance in the holiday cheer department, so we’re asking our Aventura Mall friends and guests to help make their season as bright and joyful as possible.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree invites shoppers to both do good and feel good as they help others experience the joy of Christmas morning. The longstanding program provides Christmas gifts for thousands of children around the country each year. Once a child (or senior adult) has been registered and accepted as an Angel, their Christmas wish list is shared with donors (like you!) who purchase new clothing and toys. The organization then distributes these items to the Angel family so they can place the special gifts under their very own Christmas tree, helping them create holiday memories that will last a lifetime.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree is located in the Enchanted Forest display, located on the Lower Level outside the Deck the Halls Shoppe by The Christmas Palace. Simply select an Angel from the Angel Tree, and enjoy shopping for your Angel while experiencing the wonder of Aventura Mall’s holiday installations, pop-up shops, décor and more. Your Angel’s gift can be dropped off at Concierge on the Lower Level near Center Court by December 11.

Pro Tip: Peppermint Park, a toy emporium featuring nostalgic novelties and today’s top gifts, is offering 20% off all Salvation Army Angel purchases through December 11th. Just present your Angel with your purchases, excluding Polaroid and Marshall, to receive your discount. They are located on the Upper Level near Zara.
