Get Lashed! And So Much More

In 2011, Shakuwra Sandoval was asked a simple, yet thoughtful question: If you could open and own any business, what would it be? The question spurred an “A-Ha!” moment for Sandoval, who is now the owner and founder of Get Lashed—one of the hottest new salons in Aventura Mall.

Get Lashed began as a kiosk in an Atlanta shopping center, quickly growing in popularity over time. Earlier this year, Sandoval vacationed in Miami for Super Bowl Weekend, which spurred yet another “A-Ha!” moment that inspired her to pursue expanding her business here.

“My initial goal was to open a storefront in Atlanta, but then I visited Miami and fell in love.” Sandoval explained. “When I asked around regarding where I should set up my business, everyone told me Aventura Mall was the place to be!”

Get Lashed debuted in Aventura Mall last month and is already a popular destination among mall visitors. The salon offers lashes for purchase in nearly every size, shape and color made from handcrafted, cruelty-free silk hair. All lashes include invisible bands that are both lightweight and hypoallergenic.

Adding to the experience, customers who have their eyelashes applied onsite also receive a complimentary brow filling, ensuring they are photo-ready when leaving the salon.

Other services offered include lash extensions, brow tinting, microblading, full makeup, party & event makeup, and master classes.

Mall visitors have likely noticed the salon’s bright, pink storefront—which is a favorite among visitors for selfies and pictures, both for its picturesque nature and its glowing, neon signs, including a “Black Lives Matter” one. It was important to Sandoval to include this message, and she has been thrilled it’s been embraced by the community.

Inside, plush white beds, floral accents, and even MORE pink provide a playful, fun and feminine ambiance.

Get Lashed is located on the upper level near Macy’s. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (305) 974-2934.
