Brazilian Beauty: Meet Cia. Marítima’s Origins Collection

Intersecting culture and creativity Cia. Maritima’s 2019 Origins Collection shines radiantly. The swimwear, constructed from lively prints and luxurious fabrics, gives a glimpse of Brazil’s stunning art and vivid landscapes. The powerful 2019 Origins Collection is reminiscent of Brazil yet still fits seamlessly into South Florida’s style. It’s no wonder  Cia. Maritima can be found at the best mall in Miami, a city that’s infused with South American spirit and vibrancy.

Brazil’s legacy is woven into every element of the collection, including its unveiling. The 2019 Origins Collection launched with a salient start: a visually arresting campaign starring one of the world’s top models. Set in the Brazilian paradise of Corumbau, model Lais Ribeiro starred in the brand’s ethereal photoshoot.

The collection draws inspiration from the brand’s Brazilian roots, accentuating the country’s most striking and picturesque qualities. The vibrant collection mixes the traits, rituals, and art of Brazil with inspiration from African landscapes. Geometrics motifs and emblematic patterns come together to create a clothing line that’s symbolic for Brazil’s natural charm.

This season’s color palette is both exciting and meaningful. Taking cues from the natural landscape, the Origins Collection features a color chart of navy clue, green, orange, black and a sandy beige. Bikinis in a playful combination of textures, like mesh and silk, stand out in classic silhouettes like the triangle top and the strapless staple.

Exuding a level feminine sophistication that’s intrigued by the wild side of life, the contemporary collection introduces crochet — a hot trend for spring — into the fold. To accompany the signature swimwear, Cia. Marítima’s collection also features airy dresses, halter tops, high-leg pants and flowing skirts.

As an integral part of Brazil’s sartorial DNA, it’s only natural for Cia. Marítima to honor the country where it started. The family-owned company is part of the Rosset Group, the largest textile manufacturer in Brazil. With more than 70 years in the business, the Rosset Group is the largest producer of beachwear in the country. When visiting the beaches of Sao Paulo, you’re guaranteed to see the women of Brazil basking in the South American sun while wearing one of Cia. Marítima designs.
