Get your tech wish-lists ready! The Apple Store has reopened at the best mall in Miami in a brand-new, reconceptualized space that is sure to entice locals and visitors for more than the tech giant’s products.
The store – which has been deemed Apple’s “largest Apple store among the nine now in South Florida” by Miami Herald – was designed with Miami’s beloved modern architecture as its muse. The roof mimics ocean waves while the overall aesthetic is “consistent with the marine climate and classic mid-century design of the region,” according to Chris Brathwaite, senior director of Apple retail design.
Inside, the space will feature amphitheater-style seating to comfortably fit hundreds of visitors. Oversized windows will overlook the outdoor area of the Expansion Wing, allowing guests to enjoy sunlit views while they peruse the latest in software and electronics.
In addition to the new space, Apple fans will enjoy the brand’s complimentary, educational and hands-on skill sessions, which cover everything from photography, video, music and design, to health, coding, apps and more. The “Today at Apple” sessions can be booked online at Apple.com/Today.
The store is creating more than just a buzz; it’s also creating more than three dozen jobs. Approximately 344 employees are expected to work at the new location – about 40 more than were at the previous one.
The Apple Store is located in the outdoor area of Aventura Mall’s Expansion Wing next to the Aventura Slide Tower.
