Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, The South Beach Wine & Food Festival will be hosting 80 events running from Feb. 24 - 28. Worldwide renowned chefs, wine producers, food lovers, celebrities and more will come together for five days full of festivities, eating and drinking.
Scott Conant and Michael Mina's East Meets West Party is an event you won’t want to miss. The tail-gate inspired gathering will take place at Turnberry Isle Miami’s CORSAIR by Scott Conant. Guests will enjoy delicious food from a dine-around menu of game day favorites along with Mouton Cadet and Basil Hayden bourbon. Additional entertainment will include a DJ, prizes and a nighttime neon golf challenge. For more information, visit http://www.sobefest.com/corsair.
Also, SoBe is breaking new ground this time by adding the Taste of Fort Lauderdale. In addition to appearances by film and television personalities such as Neil Patrick Harris, Rachael Ray and Giada De Laurentis, the fest will host The Food Network’s Robert Irvine (Restaurant Impossible and Chopped), who will celebrate the inaugural Taste of Fort Lauderdale series with a “Seaside Eats” Feb. 24.
On Friday night Feb. 26, supermodel Chrissy Teigen will co-host Midnight Breakfast at The National Hotel, with “Fireman Derek” — aka Derek Kaplan - a Miami firefighter renowned for his made-from-scratch pies, firehouse cooking and Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop in Wynwood.
Another can’t-miss event will be the 10th anniversary of Rachael Ray’s Burger Bash, on the beach behind the Ritz Carlton hotel. The Food Network star and longtime talk host will once again decide who whips up the best burger in the land, alongside celebrity judges Neil Patrick Harris, award-winning chef Marcus Samuelson, NBC’s Natalie Morales and America’s foremost hamburger expert George Motz.
The fest closes out Sunday night with Bizarre Foods’ lovable host Andrew Zimmern, who will emcee Lucky Chopsticks, described as an Asian street market, featuring sushi, dumplings, dim sum and a variety of other unique delicacies.
